At McGrath Electrical we test and certify all of our Electrical work and we are fully insured. you should check that your Electrician is Part P registered and insured don’t just take there word for it ask them to show you there insurance details and who they are Part P registered with. you can check online at http://www.electricalsafetyregister.com/ or at http://www.esc.org.uk/public/find-an-electrician/ you can type into Google the name that you have been given if its the NICEIC just type in NICEIC contact number and click on the link and scroll down the page and all there contact details are there and then you can call them up and give the Electricians company name if they are registered they will have the company name on the register if the Electrician is registered and insured he will have no problem supplying you with all this information don’t use them until they show you this information some of the jobs that I have been to when the owner of the property say to me that there’s something wrong with the Electrics and that it was a Qualified Electrician that has carried out the work when I ask did they give you a certificate for the work that they have done and if  they say no straight away I know its going to be something that has been wired by a cowboy and when I check and find and fix the problem its usually something that was Dangerously wired just because something electrical works it doesn’t mean it is wired correctly and could be a fire Risk or somebody could get electrocuted so Don’t put your family at Risk and use a registered and insured Electrician.have a look at this Home Saftey Link from the Electrical Safety Council
